About the Role
Skarda & Associates is seeking a motivated and experienced licensed Structural Engineer to join our team in Baltimore. This position is ideal for a professional engineer with 5–10 years of structural design experience who is looking to take on increased project responsibility, work directly with clients and architects, and contribute to a collaborative engineering environment. The successful candidate will participate in the design and coordination of a wide range of structural projects, including commercial, institutional, industrial, and renovation work. This role offers opportunities for technical growth, project leadership, and long-term career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and foundation systems
- Prepare construction documents, calculations, specifications, and technical reports
- Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Conduct field investigations, site visits, and structural assessments
- Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs during construction
- Manage project schedules and maintain high-quality deliverables
- Mentor junior engineering staff and support internal quality control efforts
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to project development activities
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural concentration
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- 5–10 years of structural engineering experience
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software
- Working knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Compensation & Benefits
- $90,000 – $120,000 based on experience and qualifications

Seeking a CAD Drafter with experience using Revit and AutoCAD. Must have Revit experience. Structural experience required.
